Good idea, but this was suggested literally three years ago and they haven't done crap. Maybe GW2 will get some love.

Good idea, would be awesome if you could do it all from one spot, so you could try a bit of one armor with a bit of another armor to see if they looked nice together.

Yeah, always thought about something like that.Even an external program or a website that could do this (WoW's site has a sort of feature like this)

Idea is good, but I think it might be a bit better if you pay a small fee say a couple platinum or do some quest or something. Then it'll change your armor (like how you upgrade heroes armor) to look exactly like the armor for say 5-10 minutes or until you leave town. Then you can see exactly what it would look like on your own character and see if theirs any glitches or things you don't like.
Either way /signed for gws 2.

signed although it gets suggested fairly often lol
WOW has a feature where you mouse over an item and it will show how it would look on your character... no reason not to put this into GW2 at least.

That is a very good reson NOT to put it in GW2, we don't want it to be a WoW clone

[email protected] Let's not add magic, because it's in WoW and it would be WoW clone. Let's also not use weapons, it's already in WoW and we don't want another clone of it either. Oh, and trees, they are in every MMO game :/ Except for EVE.
/signed, would help, wouldn't make anyone sad.

But I'd keep it simple... just a preview window for the individual piece before making the purchase... not a mix-n-match.

Never played WOW don't want to play WOW and do not care one way or the other if WOW is rubbish or the best game in the world.
However it is silly not to copy something if its a good idea.
Putting your mouse pointer over something to see it on your character is not just a pretty good idea its a great idea.
Steal it use it and forget where it came from.
oh and GW isnt going to become a WOW clone because the basic WOW idea is flawed.

I'm neutral on this one. I do see the point but at the same time it can't be that hard to look it up on Wiki. I don't need a picture to see exactly how it will look on my character. /halfsigned

While the wiki can give players a good representation of what an item or armor may look like, some may not get enough out of a single or few pictures on what things look like. Being able to dye or rotate the camera while the items are shown in use on your character would be an excellent way to show exactly how things will look in any respect that the player desires.

Whether it is from WoW or not is not a good reason to add or not add something that is a good idea. You're logic is as flawed as "they shouldn't do this because they need to work on GW2," which was flawed BEFORE they made the second team to work only on GW1.
And it's as flawed as the logic of the argument of "it's on wiki we don't need a preview screen." Which is flawed because 1. it's a one sided picture, not 3d view and 2. the wiki doesn't have your character's face, hair, height, skin color, hair color. And that makes it look different on your character then on the wiki's character.
I /signed this before, I'll /sign it again.

Hmm, I like preview windows, I like the idea however it is possible to do something similar now - but only with single pieces.
Borrow a friend's armour - the one you intend buying, and then dye it. The dye preview pops up with that armour on your character.
